Our German style whole wheat bread is made with both organic pumpkin and sunflower seeds, golden and brown flax and sesame seeds, which we soak before baking to add even more goodness. There are absolutely no preservatives, dough conditioners, bleach or other nice things widely used in other breads. This fact makes it unique in the market, a bread like it was baked for the last thousand years before chemicals were used to add more profit.
We start with our own freshly ground rye. This serves as the base for our sourdough. All our breads save for the sweet ones like Pumpkin or Walnut Cinnamon use the Sourdough leavening method for a number of reasons :
- more enzyme activity,
- longer shelf life
- better digestion
- more complex flavor
- better texture
Since this bread manufacturing method is very labor intensive, very few bakers apply this method.
We also let nature do its work giving our bread longer proofing than most other purveyors. This procedure guarantees a dense, flavorful bread which you will enjoy for a long time due to this manufacturing method and its refrigerated storage. The other components of the bread are basically the same as in our crackers, just a few modifications to maximize the flavors are applied to this wholesome loaf.
Crackerman Crackers are all organic made with golden and brown flaxseed and organic sesame seed. Traditional bread spices such as cumin, fennel and coriander and extra virgin olive oil guarantee a great tasting product. The crackers contain a percentage of whole wheat and unbromated, unbleached flour, to suit the health conscious. Due to their carefully selected ingredients they have many nutritional benefits. We do care about our products, one reason we use whole spices and grind them just before baking. This goes for both the breads and crackers. Kalamata Olive and Onion - Garlic Bread are both a mix of organic whole wheat and stoneground flours. They come with organic extra virgin olive oil and without any sweeteners.
Kalamata olives are the core ingredients for the first type. This olives enjoy the reputation of being the best black ones around. Our Onion- Garlic comes with loads of onions and a hint of garlic, making it the perfect loaf for antipasti .
Both breads are started with our own Sourdough, offer no dough conditioners or any of the stuff you usually find.
Our flours are stoneground, they come unbleached, unenriched and unbromated. In short, it’s what was called flour 100 years ago.
Vermont Sourdough Bread
Two ingredients: Flour and salt, period. None of the stuff you find in grocery stores disturb the flavor.We use a sourdough starter derived from a mother dough we created last winter.
This recipe originated in Vermont, hence the name. This is an everyday bread in the way our ancestor handcrafted their loaves. A light, slightly tart flavor and great purity as well as a chewy texture are the properties of our latest introduction.

Pumpkin Bread with Organic Eggs
This extremely moist bread comes with our organic flour, organic spices and organic eggs. Thanks to those ingredients it has a much more pronounced flavor than others. It keeps well in the fridge for about ten days and should be reheated to complete delight.
Organic Bread Chips with Parmiggiano Reggiano
All organic chips twice baked with extra virgin olive oil, garlic and a healthy dusting of aged Parmesan from Sicily.
Great for an additional texture in salads, bread baskets or just with a drink.
